Yesterday, I had the pleasure of joining a great group of volunteers, musicians, and live music supporters at the Kiwi Gastropub for Cambridge Live Music’s First Anniversary Celebration. The event was MC’d by CBC Kitchener-Waterloo’s Craig Norris and featured over a dozen different acts including myself.
I love the excitement of these events (this being my second appearance) as everyone in attendance – volunteers, musicians, and fans – are nothing but supportive. It’s much different from my days of solo piping competition, where the room was dead silent and the audience was just waiting to critique you. I also enjoy having conversations with other local musicians from different genres and listening to them perform.
Thanks to everyone at Cambridge Live Music and the Kiwi for being such great supporters of live music. See you again soon!
