With over 25 years of piping experience, Andrew has been a member of many competitive pipe bands in Ontario and a guest piper with bands from the United States and Scotland.
As a founding member of the Paris Pipe Band (now the Paris Port Dover Pipe Band), Andrew led the band to become the 2005 North American Champions and the Ontario Champion Supreme Pipe Band in Grade 5 in only their second year of competition. In 2013, he returned to the band for a season, playing as a member of the Ontario Champion Supreme Pipe Band in Grade 3.
As a successful solo piper, Andrew competed under the tutelage of Jake Watson and John Cairns, both leaders of top Ontario pipe bands. He left his competitive career on top, having played up through the grades ultimately reaching the prestigious Grade 1 level.
Currently, Andrew has been focusing on the exciting world of solo performance and he enjoys helping make events memorable; such as weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, family reunions, funerals, corporate and sporting events, fundraisers, and festivals.
In 2017, Andrew was awarded one of Kitchener-Conestoga’s 150 for Canada’s 150th Awards for volunteering his piping services to the local Royal Canadian Legion branches, Waterloo Region Museum’s McDougall Cottage and other local charities.
In 2022, Andrew moved to the Halifax Regional Municipality and is excited to continue making events memorable by playing Great Highland Bagpipe music for Haligonians and the rest of Nova Scotia.
