#TuneTuesday | Cabar Feidh

Engraving of a pair of deer

This week’s #TuneTuesday, “Cabar Feidh” was one of my favourite marches when I first started playing the bagpipes. Cabar feidh is gaelic for deer horns or antlers. I’ve read and seen firsthand that antlers have been a symbol for many military regiments and clans over the years.

Around my house, you’ll find that we love deer. They were even a feature of our wedding invitations when Emily and I got married a few years ago!

Here is the strathspey version of this old tune.

Enjoy and stay “tuned” for next week’s #TuneTuesday!
