Here’s a wee tune for you that we recorded after playing at the surprise birthday gig awhile back. For the backdrop of the video, we used New Hamburg’s iconic waterwheel.
As one of Scotland’s possible national anthems, I’m sure you’ll recognize this week’s #TuneTuesday, “Flower of Scotland.” From soccer games to rallies to pubs, you’ll here Scottish nationalists using this anthem as its lyrics commemorate Robert the Bruce’s victory over King Edward the Second’s Army at Bannockburn. (Think the end of Braveheart!) I have fond memories of my great uncle in Scotland singing this song when he returned home from an evening at the pub.
Enjoy and stay “tuned” for next week’s #TuneTuesday!
