On September 11th, I had the honour of piping in Sue, a representative from the University of Stirling during a conference hosted at the University of Waterloo. I was really excited for this gig as I have a very personal connection to this Scottish university.
My mother was born at Airthrey Castle, which is now a part of the University of Stirling. At the time of her birth, Airthrey Castle was a maternity hospital. After three decades (and hundreds of babies), the castle became home to the University’s School of Law. As a kid, it was definitely fun to tell people that my mother was born in a castle!

Thank you to Mark from the University of Waterloo for hiring me to be a part of the conference. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity!
