#TuneTuesday | Auld Lang Syne

Vintage postcard showing bouquet of purple heather tied together with tartan bow and amber brooch

This week’s #TuneTuesday is based on one of Robert Burns’ most well known poems.

In much of the English speaking world, it is commonly used to say goodbye to the past year on New Year’s Eve. You may have also heard it sung at the end of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, the end of a Robbie Burn’s night, or as the last song played at a Scottish wedding.

If you’re not much of a singer, feel free to have a listen to this recording as the clock strikes twelve on New Year’s Eve!

Happy New Year!

Enjoy and stay “tuned” for next week’s #TuneTuesday!
