#TuneTuesday | Pipe Major Donald MacLean of Lewis

Paris Pipe Band playing in competition circle at Cowal Highland Gathering.

This #TuneTuesday is a great ‘walking around’ tune as those that have played in higher grade competitive pipe bands would call it. Walking around tunes are used for parades or to ‘warm up’ the bagpipes and fingers before playing the more difficult and fast paced sets and medleys required to compete with in the competition circle. “Pipe Major Donald MacLean of Lewis” was also one of the first tunes I played in competition with the Paris Pipe Band at the Cowal Games on our first trip to Scotland.

Enjoy and stay “tuned” for next week’s #TuneTuesday!
